Senior Java Developer

The primary Roles, Responsibilities and challenges in this position are:
- Design & implement payment features, integrate these features in the application, respecting overall development guidelines and methodologies
- Analyse & solve reported issues on own developments, provide guidance to business analysts
- Ensure proper product quality, by providing adequate unit tests, documentation & training material on own developed features.
- Coach and assist junior developers.
Our ideal candidate recognises him- or herself in the following profile:
- Computer Science engineer or equivalent, with proven track-record in Java J2EE development
- Hands-on experience with J2EE Application Servers (Oracle WebLogic, Websphere, JBoss)
- Hands-on experience with Hibernate
- Knowledge of Ajax, GWT or Spring is a clear asset.
- Experience with continuous integration: cruise control, automated build procedures ...
- Knowledge of or clear interest in the finance domain
- Experience with Agile development techniques such as SCRUM.
- Ability to work in a distributed environment.
- Team player with excellent communication skills
- Good verbal and written English
